Free calculators for prop firm traders. Work out your profit target and loss limits before you buy a challenge, find where a trailing drawdown actually closes your account, and check the consistency rule before you request a payout. No signup, and nothing you type leaves your browser.
Traders lose funded accounts for two reasons. The first is trading badly, which no calculator fixes. The second is misreading a rule, which is the one worth spending ten minutes on, and it is nearly always one of three.
The profit target and loss limits are quoted in percentages and enforced in dollars. On a $100,000 account an 8% target and a 5% daily loss limit means making $8,000 without ever losing $5,000 in a day. Converting the percentages first makes the account a lot easier to judge before you pay for it.
The drawdown model is the one that surprises people. A static drawdown measures from your starting balance and never moves. A trailing drawdown follows your highest equity upward, which means an account in profit can still be one bad session from closing. End of day trailing sits between the two, following your closing balance rather than your intraday peak. Same account size, same percentage, three different floors.
The consistency rule is applied at payout, which is the worst possible moment to find out about it. If one day accounts for too large a share of your total profit, the payout gets held until your results are more evenly spread. It is not a penalty for winning, but it can feel like one when it lands on a payout you were counting on.
Scores come from our published methodology, which weights payout reliability and transparency above rule friendliness. Compare any two of them side by side in the comparison tool.
Are these calculators free?
Yes, all of them, with no signup and no email required. They run entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us or stored anywhere, and reloading the page clears it.
Which calculator should I use first?
Use the challenge calculator before you buy, so you know the profit target and loss limits in dollars rather than percentages. Use the drawdown calculator once you are trading, because the drawdown model decides where your account actually closes. Use the consistency calculator before you request a payout, since that is when the rule is applied at most firms.
Do these numbers apply to every prop firm?
No. Profit targets, drawdown models and consistency thresholds vary widely between firms, and some firms change them between account types. The calculators do the maths correctly for whatever you enter, but you have to enter your own firm rules. Check the firm review page or the firm terms for the actual figures.
Why do so many traders fail on rules rather than on trading?
Because the rules are where the money is decided and they are not always obvious. A trailing drawdown can close an account that is still in profit. A consistency rule can block a payout on an account that made money. Neither is about whether you can trade. Both are about whether you read the terms, which is what these tools are for.
Do you save what I type?
No. There is no account, no cookie storing your inputs, and no data sent to a server. The calculation happens in your browser and disappears when you close the tab.
These tools are for information only and are not financial advice. Prop firm rules change. Always confirm the current terms with the firm before you trade.
