About PropFirmReviews

Independent reviews
for traders, by traders.

PropFirmReviews.net exists because the prop trading industry deserves a review publication that traders can actually trust. We buy every challenge we test, document every rule we publish, and never let an affiliate relationship change a rating.

The reviews that didn’t exist

When we started PropFirmReviews in 2024, the existing landscape of “prop firm reviews” was, almost without exception, an affiliate marketing exercise. Top-10 lists were ordered by commission rate, not rule quality. “Independent” reviewers had never opened the challenges they were rating. Rules changed weekly and nobody updated their pages.

The result was a market where traders could lose thousands of dollars chasing a recommendation written by someone who had never traded the platform — and where firms with predatory rule structures consistently outranked firms with clean, transparent ones.

We built this site to do the opposite. Every firm we cover, we buy. Every rule we publish, we pull from the firm’s own terms. Every rating, we can defend on the record. Every commission we earn is disclosed in the same paragraph as the recommendation it sits next to.

Six principles

The non-negotiables that shape every review on this site.

01

Buy every challenge

We never accept free accounts or comped challenges from firms. Every product we rate is purchased at the same price a retail trader would pay.

02

Cite primary sources

Every numeric claim — fees, drawdown thresholds, profit splits, payout windows — links back to the firm’s published terms. No “we heard” claims.

03

Disclose commissions

We earn affiliate commissions on some links. Every commission relationship is disclosed on the page where the link appears, not buried elsewhere.

04

Separate rating from revenue

The team that scores a firm has no visibility into the affiliate revenue that firm generates. Rankings are not for sale.

05

Update on a fixed cadence

Firm rules change without notice. We re-audit every published review on a fixed monthly schedule and stamp the date on every page.

06

Correct in public

When we’re wrong, we say so on the article itself — not in a quiet footer. Every correction is dated and visible at the point of the error.

Who writes here

Reviews are written by traders with documented funded-account experience across the markets they cover. We don’t outsource to freelance content mills.

Seven markets

We rate firms across seven distinct categories because they operate on fundamentally different rule architectures. A forex challenge with tick-by-tick trailing drawdown is not comparable to a futures combine with a static loss limit, and neither is comparable to a prediction-market account where the “rules” are simply the contract terms.

Our category split: CFD / Forex, Futures, Crypto, Stocks, Options, Sports Prop, and Prediction Markets. Each has its own scoring rubric — weighted to reflect what actually matters in that market.

The full breakdown of how we score, including weightings and exclusions, is on our review methodology page.
