Most write-ups treat Maven as a four programme firm. It sells seven, and the risk limits are not close to each other. Max loss runs from 3% to 10% and the daily limit from 2% to 4%, so you are choosing a risk profile rather than accepting one. Four of the seven have no consistency rule at all. The three that do are Instant Funding, Mini and the funded stage of Buy Now Pay Later. Rules and prices here were read off each programme page on 13 August 2026.
1-Step Challenge Rules

Maven also sells an Omo 2-Step, which is this same product with the targets swapped round. Phase 1 asks 6% and Phase 2 asks 8%, against 8% then 5% on the standard version. Everything else matches: 8% max loss, 4% daily limit, 80% split, payouts every 10 business days and no consistency rule. It lists at $19 on the $2K account and the code OMO takes $10 off. Worth taking if you would rather clear the easier target first. The Omo page does not state a minimum trading day requirement, so treat that as unconfirmed rather than assuming it matches the standard 2-Step.

Mini is the most interesting thing Maven sells and the least discussed. It pays within 24 hours. Of the 171 firms we track, only a handful advertise payment that fast, and it is the single strongest reason this firm scores where it does on payout reliability. The trade is the split. At 70% it is the only Maven programme below 80%, so you are giving up 10 points of every winning month to get paid the next day instead of on a 10 business day cycle. For a trader compounding a funded account that is a bad deal. For a trader who wants the cash out and away from platform risk it is a good one.
Two gaps worth knowing before you buy. The Mini page does not publish a profit target, and it does not publish the consistency percentage it applies, only that one exists. Both matter for planning a pass, so ask support in writing and keep the reply.
Buy Now Pay Later Rules
| Evaluation type | Two-stage, paid in two parts |
| Upfront payment | $5 at every account size |
| Balance due | On passing, before the funded account unlocks |
| Phase 1 profit target | 4% |
| Phase 1 max drawdown | 10% |
| Phase 1 daily loss limit | Not applied |
| Funded max drawdown | 8% |
| Funded daily loss limit | 4% |
| Profit split | 80% once funded |
| Payout frequency | Instant once funded |
| Consistency rule | None in Phase 1; 20% once funded |
| Account sizes | $2K, $5K, $10K, $20K, $50K, $100K |
| Total cost | $5 now, then $40 ($2K) up to $589 ($100K) on passing |
The rules here are the loosest Maven offers. A 10% max drawdown in Phase 1 is double the 1-Step, and there is no daily loss limit until you are funded. That is a forgiving evaluation by any standard in this industry, and the 4% target is the lowest single-phase target on the menu.
Read the pricing carefully, because this is deferral and not a discount. On the $2K account you pay $5 now and $40 on passing, so $45 in total against $19 for the standard 2-Step. On the $100K it is $594 against $440. You are paying roughly a third more, and on the smallest account more than double, in exchange for risking $5 instead of the full fee while you trade. That is a fair bet if you are unsure you will pass and a poor one if you are confident. Note also that the balance falls due before the funded account opens, so passing does not mean you are trading. You need the rest of the fee ready.
Payouts
| First payout | Capped at 6% of account balance |
| Second payout | Capped at 8% of account balance |
| Third payout and beyond | No withdrawal cap |
| Default payout cycle | Every 10 business days |
| Profit split | 80% standard; scales to 90% with consistent performance |
| Payout methods | Bank transfer (select countries), Rise, alternatives by residency |
| KYC required | Yes. Government ID, selfie, matching account details |
| Evaluation fee refund | Returned on 3rd withdrawal |
| Scaling plan | 25% account increase every 4 months; requires 10% net profit over 4 months and 1 payout per month; scales to $1M |
Trading Conditions
| Platforms | MT5, cTrader, MatchTrader (MT5 not available in US / Canada) |
| Instruments | 400+ including forex, indices, commodities, and crypto |

Buyback Feature
| What it does | Re-enter a funded account you have lost, without retaking a challenge |
| How to use it | Open a support ticket to request a buyback |
| Cost ($2K account) | $200 |
| Cost ($5K account) | $400 |
| Cost ($10K account) | $750 |
| Cost ($20K account) | $1,400 |
| Cost ($50K account) | $3,500 |
| Cost ($100K account) | $6,000 |
Maven’s own FAQ describes buyback as available to anyone who “had a funded account and lost it,” with no breach types called out as excluded. That is worth confirming with support before you rely on it, since firms in this space commonly treat rule violations like EA use or cross-account copy trading differently from an ordinary drawdown breach, even when their public FAQ does not spell out the distinction.
Our Verdict
Maven Trading’s clearest advantage is its pricing. At $13 entry for the 3-step programme and a maximum of $199 for a $100,000 two-step evaluation, it sits at the low end of the cost spectrum among active CFD prop firms. For traders who have burned through evaluation fees elsewhere and want to rebuild without committing large upfront capital, that is a real advantage.
The payout structure is worth understanding before you sign up. Your first withdrawal is capped at 6% of your funded account balance. On a $10,000 account that means a $600 maximum first payout. The second withdrawal is capped at 8%, and only from the third payout onward is there no cap. The evaluation fee does not come back until the third withdrawal as well. Compared to firms that refund fees on the first payout and offer on-demand withdrawals, Maven asks traders to wait longer for their capital back.
Expert Advisors are banned across all accounts. This is a firm policy, not a grey area. Multiple third-party review sites list EAs as allowed, creating confusion, but Maven’s own FAQ says otherwise and the firm enforces it. If any part of your strategy relies on automation, bots, scripts, or algorithmic execution, Maven is not compatible with your approach. Grid and Martingale strategies are also prohibited, as is reverse hedging and high-frequency scalping. The news trading restriction of 2 minutes either side of red-folder events is market-standard, but profits generated inside that window do not count toward your target, which is worth tracking carefully during volatile sessions.
The 3-step challenge carries a specific risk that traders on a budget may overlook. Its 3% static drawdown per phase is one of the tightest drawdown rules in the prop firm space. Two losing sessions close together can end your challenge before you have built any meaningful progress. If cost is your main driver, the 1-step at $15 entry gives you the same low starting price with a more practical 5% trailing drawdown. For traders who want a full drawdown comparison before committing, our consistency calculator can help you model your historical risk against each programme’s rules.
Maven is not available to traders in the US or Canada, which is a hard geographic restriction. The maximum account size of $100,000 also limits earning potential compared to firms offering $200,000 or $400,000 accounts. MT4 and TradingView are not supported, so traders tied to those platforms will need to adapt.
On balance, Maven Trading works well for one specific type of trader: a discretionary CFD or forex trader who trades manually, does not need a large account, and wants the lowest possible entry cost to get funded. The 4.3/5 Trustpilot rating from 5,000+ reviews confirms it pays out and has a functioning support structure. For traders who need EAs, larger allocations, MT4 access, or US availability, the firm is not a match.

Prediction Markets Score: 7.2 / 10. Rated on Rules and Clarity, Challenge Cost, Platform, Payout Speed and Transparency. It is registered as Maven Edu-FZCO in Dubai Silicon Oasis, UAE, with its principal office in Saint Lucia. It is not regulated by a financial authority, which is standard for prop firms in this space. What challenge types does Maven Trading offer?
Maven Trading offers seven programmes. The 1-step requires an 8% profit target with a 5% trailing drawdown and 3% daily loss limit. The 2-step requires 8% in Phase 1 and 5% in Phase 2, with an 8% static drawdown, 4% daily loss limit and a minimum of 3 profitable trading days per phase. The 3-step requires 3% per phase with a tight 3% static drawdown and 2% daily loss limit. The Omo 2-step requires 6% then 8% with an 8% max loss and 4% daily loss limit. Instant Funding skips the evaluation with a 3% trailing drawdown and a 20% consistency score. Mini has a 3% max loss, a 2% daily limit, a 70% split and pays within 24 hours. Buy now pay later runs a 4% Phase 1 target with a 10% max loss in Phase 1 and 8% once funded, paying instantly. Four of the seven carry no consistency rule; Instant, Mini and the funded stage of buy now pay later each apply one. All programmes run on accounts from $2,000 to $100,000.
What is the Maven Trading drawdown rule?
It depends on which programme you choose. The 1-step uses a 5% trailing drawdown calculated from your highest balance, with a 3% daily loss limit. The 2-step uses an 8% static drawdown and a 4% daily loss limit. The 3-step uses a 3% static drawdown per phase and a 2% daily loss limit, which is very tight. Instant Funding uses a 3% trailing drawdown, a 2% daily loss limit, and a maximum open risk of 1% of account balance at any given time.
What platforms does Maven Trading support?
Maven Trading supports MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and MatchTrader. MT4 and TradingView are not available. MT5 access is restricted for traders in the United States and Canada due to regulatory constraints, which effectively blocks those regions from the platform. The firm offers 400+ instruments including major and minor forex pairs, stock indices, commodities, and crypto with leverage of up to 75:1 on forex and 20:1 on commodities and indices.
Are Expert Advisors allowed on Maven Trading?
No. Maven Trading prohibits Expert Advisors and all automated trading systems across every account type and programme. This includes bots, copy trading scripts, and any algorithmic strategy. Several third-party sites claim EAs are permitted, but Maven’s own FAQ and terms of service state they are not, and accounts found using automated systems are breached. If you rely on any automation at all, Maven is not a suitable firm for you.
