Top FTMO Alternatives in 2026: Rules, Pricing, and Trust Signals Compared

FTMO scores 8.3/10 in our rankings and remains one of the most established names in the space. These five firms each beat it on a specific rule, price, or payout mechanic, verified against each firm’s own live terms, including one widely repeated FTMO fact that turned out to be wrong.

FTMO isn’t broken. It’s the most established name on this list, and its 2-Step Challenge, with a 10% static drawdown and no time limit, is still a reasonable default for a lot of traders. But “most established” isn’t the same as “best fit for you.” Three specific things push traders toward alternatives: the Best Day Rule on the 1-Step Challenge, the 80% default profit split that only reaches 90% after Scaling Plan qualification, and a monthly payout cycle that some traders find slow.

Each firm below is scored using the same methodology across every review on this site: challenge rules, payout reliability, cost versus value, platform, support, and transparency. Every rule, fee, and figure quoted was checked against each firm’s own review page on this site or its official site this session. Nothing here is pulled from a competing directory.

FTMO: the baseline everyone gets compared against

FTMO runs two challenge formats. The 2-Step splits into a 10% Phase 1 target and a 5% Verification target, with a 10% static maximum drawdown (measured against the initial balance, not a trailing peak) and a 5% daily loss limit. The 1-Step compresses this into one 10% target with a tighter 3% daily loss limit, a 10% end-of-day trailing drawdown, and a Best Day Rule that blocks payout if any single day accounts for more than 50% of total positive profit.

Profit split starts at 80% on the 2-Step and only reaches 90% after Scaling Plan qualification. The 1-Step starts at 90% but drops the rollover option. Payouts run on a fixed cycle rather than on demand.

Fee refund, read this carefully: FTMO’s own FAQ confirms the 2-Step Challenge fee is refunded with the first reward withdrawal, but the 1-Step Challenge fee is not refunded after passing. This is the opposite of what gets repeated across most FTMO coverage, including this site’s own FTMO review, which currently lists both as 100% refunded. Worth a fix on that page.
Where FTMO wins outright: a decade of operating history, $650M+ paid to traders (per FTMO’s own Scaling Plan page as of this review), and a 4.8/5 Trustpilot score from 46,000+ reviews, a count that moves weekly. None of the firms below can match that track record yet. See the full FTMO review for the complete rule breakdown.

1. FXIFY: on-demand payouts and four supported platforms

FXIFY

8.5 / 10

Est. 2023 · $5K–$400K accounts · MT4, MT5, DXtrade, TradingView

On-demand first payoutFrom $39 (Three Phase, $5K)Scale to $4M

FXIFY’s Two Phase programme runs an 8% Phase 1 and 5% Phase 2 target against a 10% static drawdown and 5% daily loss, close to FTMO’s 2-Step shape. The difference that matters: FXIFY pays the first reward on demand after the first successful funded trade, instead of making you wait for a fixed monthly cycle. It also supports DXtrade and TradingView on top of MT4 and MT5, which FTMO doesn’t offer.

The trade-off is FXIFY’s 30% consistency rule, present on most programmes, versus FTMO’s Best Day Rule which only applies to the 1-Step. Getting to a 90% split on Two Phase Standard costs an add-on fee (+20% of the evaluation cost); the Two Phase Classic variant (10%/5% targets, 4% daily loss) pays 100% split without the add-on, an option FTMO has no equivalent to at any tier.

2. Funding Pips: no consistency rule on standard payout cycles

Funding Pips

8.4 / 10

Est. 2022 · $5K–$300K accounts · MT5, cTrader, MatchTrader, TradeLocker

From $29 (2-Step Pro, $5K)Zero instant funding$137M+ paid

Funding Pips runs four evaluation models, including Zero, a no-evaluation instant-funding option. On the standard 2-Step and 1-Step, there’s no consistency requirement at all if you take the weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payout cycle. FTMO’s Best Day Rule has no equivalent opt-out. The catch: Funding Pips ties profit split to how fast you want paid: 60% weekly, 80% bi-weekly, 100% monthly, which is the inverse of what most traders expect from a “profit split.”

No MT4 support is the clearest gap versus FTMO. EAs are allowed but only with proof of source code or development history, which rules out off-the-shelf bots that FTMO permits. Funding Pips’ Zero model, funded from day one with no evaluation, pays 95% standard and up to 100% at its top scaling tier, but runs a stricter 5% trailing drawdown and bans weekend holding.

3. The 5%ers: 100% profit split ceiling

The 5%ers

8.3 / 10

Est. 2016 · $5K–$50K accounts · MT5 only

Up to 100% splitFrom $74 (Hyper Growth, $5K)No time limit

The 5%ers’ Hyper Growth plan scales toward a 100% profit split, ten points above FTMO’s 90% cap. Three challenge formats (1-step Hyper Growth, 2-step High Stakes, 3-step Bootcamp) give more entry shapes than FTMO’s two.

Trade-off: drawdown is a tighter 6% static stop-out against FTMO’s 10%, and the daily loss limit is 3% against FTMO’s 5% on the 2-Step. MT5 is the only supported platform. Payouts run monthly with a 16-day average processing time, not faster than FTMO’s cycle.

4. SabioTrade: weekly payouts, zero minimum trading days

SabioTrade

8.2 / 10

Est. 2021 · $20K–$650K accounts · Proprietary Sabio Traderoom (QuadCode)

Weekly payoutsFrom $119 ($20K min.)40% consistency rule

SabioTrade skips FTMO’s two-phase structure entirely: one step, one 10% target, no minimum trading days at all versus FTMO’s 4-per-phase requirement. Payouts can be requested weekly, a meaningfully faster cycle than FTMO’s monthly default. Its consistency rule caps any single day or trade at 40% of total profit, more generous than FXIFY’s 30% and roughly comparable in spirit to what FTMO enforces only on the 1-Step.

The trailing 6% drawdown is calculated from the highest closed balance, meaning it tightens as the account grows, a different mechanic from FTMO’s fixed 10% static drawdown. No MT4 or MT5 support, and EAs need written approval rather than blanket permission.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best FTMO alternative in 2026?

There’s no single best answer because it depends on which FTMO rule bothers you. FXIFY suits traders who want faster payouts. Funding Pips suits traders who want no consistency rule on standard cycles. The 5%ers suits traders chasing the highest split ceiling. SabioTrade suits traders who want weekly cash flow with no minimum trading days.

Why do traders look for an FTMO alternative?

The most common reasons are the Best Day Rule on the 1-Step Challenge, the 80% default split before Scaling Plan qualification, and the monthly payout cycle. None of these make FTMO a bad firm, they just don’t fit every style.

Is FXIFY better than FTMO?

FXIFY scores 8.5/10 against FTMO’s 8.3/10 in our rankings, mostly on platform variety and on-demand first payouts. FTMO still leads on track record with a decade of operation against FXIFY’s 2023 launch.

Do FTMO alternatives have discount codes?

FXIFY and SabioTrade both currently run FT30 for 30% off. The 5%ers runs FTR10 for 10% off. Funding Pips runs FTR for 20% off. No confirmed code exists for FTMO as of this review.
