Prop Firms That Allow EAs, And the Ones That Ban Them the Moment You’re Funded

We checked the current, published rules on 13 firms. Ten confirm EA support on funded accounts. Three market EA-friendly evaluations, then prohibit automation once you pass, a distinction their own marketing does not surface.

An Expert Advisor doesn’t stop being a risk factor once you pass a challenge. It’s a rule that can flip between the evaluation and the funded account, and the flip is rarely printed on the pricing page. We checked the current published rules on 13 prop firms, most of them pulled from our own review database, and confirmed exactly where each one lands.

The Distinction Every “EA-Friendly” List Skips

A firm’s evaluation-phase EA policy and its funded-phase EA policy are two separate rules, and firms are allowed to set them differently without flagging the change anywhere near the challenge checkout page.

Tiger Funded permits EAs during the challenge, then prohibits them entirely on funded accounts, a restriction its own marketing doesn’t foreground. Sure Leverage Funding goes further: it runs a dedicated EA Challenge built specifically to attract algo traders, then bans EAs on every funded account, including the one you reach by passing that exact challenge. Coin Funded’s 1-Step Algo track allows HFT bots during the evaluation and forbids them once you’re funded, a narrower version of the same pattern inside a track marketed at automated traders.

None of these three firms are lying about EA support. They’re describing the evaluation accurately and letting the funded-account rule speak for itself in the terms page, not the ad. Read the funded-account section before you buy, not after you pass.

Prop Firms Confirmed to Allow EAs on Funded Accounts (2026)

These ten firms currently permit EA or algorithmic trading on the funded account itself, verified against each firm’s live PropFirmReviews.net rules page. Conditions and exclusions vary, so check the linked review before you buy.

Firms That Advertise EA Support, Then Ban It Once You’re Funded

These three currently allow EAs somewhere in the evaluation and remove that permission the moment the account goes live.

Tiger Funded’s case carries an extra weight class: alongside the eval-then-funded EA flip, the firm currently holds a 1.5-out-of-5 Trustpilot score with a documented pattern of payout disputes. A firm that changes an automation rule after you’ve paid to pass deserves a hard look at its payout record too. See the full payout track record in our review.

Full Ban, No Bait-and-Switch

These firms never marketed EA support in the first place, so there’s no funded-phase surprise, just a blanket rule that applies from day one.

One firm dropped entirely. My Crypto Funding previously banned EAs for auto-trading, which would have placed it on this list. The firm was delisted from our rankings in July 2026 after traders reported approved payouts going unpaid and balances over $103,000 frozen on accounts in good standing. A firm’s stated rules mean nothing once it stops paying. See our delisted firms page.

How to Verify a Firm’s EA Policy Before You Pay

Marketing pages describe the challenge. Funded-account terms live somewhere else, usually a rules or FAQ page, and that’s the page that matters once you’ve passed.

  • Search the funded-account section specifically. Don’t stop at a page that only covers the evaluation.
  • Check ownership and disclosure requirements. Tradeify allows bots only if you’re the sole owner with no shared access, a condition that’s easy to miss if you’re running a purchased or template strategy.
  • Confirm whether copy trading is separately banned. The Upside Funding and VeloTrade both allow EAs but ban copy trading and signal services, which covers most commercially distributed bots.
  • Re-verify before every purchase, not just once. TX3 Funding and Sure Leverage Funding have both had trader-reported rule changes with limited notice. A rule you confirmed six months ago isn’t a rule you can rely on today.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my EA still work once I get funded, or only during the challenge?

It depends on the firm, and the two rules are often different. Tiger Funded and Sure Leverage Funding both allow EAs in the evaluation, then prohibit them once funded. Coin Funded’s 1-Step Algo track allows HFT bots in the evaluation and bans them once funded. Always check the funded-account rules specifically, not just the challenge rules.

Which prop firms actually let you run an EA on a funded account?

As of July 2026, Tradeify, WeMasterTrade, VeloTrade, The Concept Trading, Vision Trade Forex, The Upside Funding, Traders Launch, Coin Funded (HFT excluded), Top Trader Prime (declared EAs only), and TX3 Funding all confirm EA use on funded accounts in their current published rules.

Why do some firms advertise an EA Challenge but ban EAs when funded?

It’s a marketing funnel. An EA-specific evaluation attracts algo traders and collects the fee. Sure Leverage Funding runs exactly this setup: EAs are permitted during its EA Challenge, then banned on every funded account, including the one you reach by passing that challenge.

Does using a shared or purchased EA get flagged?

At several firms, yes. Tradeify requires sole ownership of the bot with no shared access. The Upside Funding and Vision Trade Forex both allow EAs but ban copy trading and signal services, which covers most commercially sold or shared bots.

Can I run the same EA across two different funded accounts?

Usually not without risk. Tradeify’s terms flag running one bot across multiple firms as a sole-ownership violation. Firms that ban copy trading, including VeloTrade and The Upside Funding, also treat mirrored positions across your own accounts as a rule breach. Check the specific wording before duplicating a setup.
